Colin Furphy – Director & CEO

Colin Furphy is the founder and CEO of the Australian Property Development Fund, leading the company with a vision to deliver high-value property projects that generate strong returns for investors, buyers, and communities. With expertise in property development, project management, campaign strategy, and education, he ensures seamless execution by aligning project teams, investment stakeholders, and industry partners toward a shared vision of success.

With extensive industry experience, seven qualifications, and a Bachelor of Property Development, Colin brings a national and global perspective, having lived in every Australian state and travelled internationally. His leadership is defined by ambition, collaboration, and strategic foresight, enabling him to spearhead initiatives that align with the Australian Property Development Fund’s long-term growth and investment objectives.

As a results-driven executive, Colin prioritises relationship-building and team cohesion to foster a high-performance culture. His ability to attract top talent, cultivate strategic partnerships, and enhance industry reputation ensures that every project is executed with precision, innovation, and maximum impact.

Robert Coghill – Chairman of the Board & Director

Rob Coghill is an experienced executive specialising in managing both listed and unlisted public companies, with a strong track record of guiding businesses from start-up to IPO and beyond as Chairman, Director, and Company Secretary.

With 30 years of expertise in fundraising and corporate advisory, Rob has played a key role in securing capital for Australian and international equity funds, fixed interest, and superannuation funds. His C-suite experience spans mining, sustainable business, agritech, property, and investment decision-making.

Danielle Bruce – Commercial Contracts Manager

Danielle Bruce is a highly accomplished finance and property development executive, serving as the Chief Operating Officer of the Australian Property Development Fund. With extensive expertise in property development, investment structuring, and financial strategy, she plays a pivotal role in driving the fund’s operational success, investor relations, and strategic growth initiatives.

With a strong foundation in finance, mortgage broking, and real estate, Danielle has successfully orchestrated large-scale property acquisitions, structured complex investment deals, and built high-performing teams. Her bilingual fluency in English and Chinese enables her to connect with local and international investors, expanding the fund’s market reach and fostering global investment opportunities.

Holding multiple industry qualifications, including a Real Estate License, Diploma in Finance & Mortgage Broking, and Master of Information Technology, Danielle brings a data-driven, results-oriented approach to property investment and development. She is instrumental in streamlining operations, optimising financial performance, and ensuring project efficiency.

Danielle is widely recognised for her strategic leadership, financial acumen, and unwavering commitment to investor success. As COO of the Australian Property Development Fund, she remains dedicated to delivering high-value projects, maximising returns, and upholding the highest standards of excellence in property investment and development.

Lae Chua – General Counsel

Lae Chua is the General Counsel of APDFund and a finance lawyer.

Lae specialises in originating debt assets and equity assets and securitising those assets for fund managers.

Lae has been engaged by global financial institutions and global law firms such as Bank of New York and Dentons as a finance lawyer, and was most recently appointed by a national law firm to spearhead building their commercial real estate lending team using her business acumen and technical expertise.

Vincent Zhu - Lawyer & Board Member

Vincent Zhu is a partner at AHD Lawyers, bringing extensive experience in admiralty and maritime law, real property transactions, and restructuring and insolvency. He began his legal career handling ship purchases, financing, registrations, insurance claims, and maritime disputes, honing his dispute resolution and civil litigation skills. Since AHD Lawyers’ inception in 2010, Vincent has advised on significant real estate acquisitions, developments, and financings, managing projects valued between $3 million and $150 million. He has a deep understanding of real estate financing, representing mortgage-backed and mezzanine private lenders and equity-based development funders. In recent years, Vincent has built a notable reputation in restructuring and insolvency, participating in high-profile corporate cases such as the AXF Group, i-Prosperity Group, and the external administration of Golden Century Seafood Restaurant. Known for his superior analytical skills and creative problem-solving, he excels in corporate and commercial disputes, particularly those involving fraudulent behavior. Vincent is fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese and maintains consulting and referral arrangements with prominent law firms in Shanghai, Guangzhou, and Beijing.

Graham Kinder - Compliance Adviser

Graeme Kinder is a seasoned business development specialist and company director with over 40 years of commercial experience. He has held leadership roles in global banks and insurance groups, contributing to industry-best practices and product innovations. As Vice President of the Australia Vietnam Business Council, he is dedicated to fostering international business relationships, particularly by helping investors explore opportunities in Australia.

Graeme has played a key role in facilitating mergers, acquisitions, and business expansions through strategic B2B engagements. His expertise spans corporate growth, investment diversification, and high-level business facilitation.

Beyond his corporate career, Graeme is a committed community leader and was awarded the Emergency Services Medal on Australia Day 2016 for his volunteer work with the NSW State Emergency Service, Salvation Army Emergency Services, and NSW Rural Fire Service. His dedication to ethical business practices and community service underscores his reputation as a trusted and principled leader.

Brad Blazar - Capital Raising & Project Advisor

Brad Blazar is a renowned capital-raising expert and former CEO of an oil company, known for his expertise in attracting high-net-worth investors and leveraging other people’s money (OPM) to create wealth. He is the founder of Capital School and CapitalCon, where he educates entrepreneurs and business owners on capital-raising strategies. Additionally, he hosts the ‘Capital Catalyst Show’ podcast, focusing on using OPM to build wealth. His work primarily centers on capital raising and investment strategies, which is why he has become a non-executive board member of the Australian Property Development Fund.

Jean-Michel Floc’h – International Investor Relations

Jean-Michel Floc’h is a seasoned French-Australian merchant banker with 46 years of experience spanning banking, investment banking, venture capital, private equity, real estate, and infrastructure. Based in Beijing and Sydney, his extensive career includes expertise in M&A, privatisations, fund management, cryptocurrency listings, and corporate finance advisory.

Before founding Floc’h International Group in 2000, Jean-Michel held key positions at Indosuez Bank (now part of Crédit Agricole), serving across France, Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Malaysia, Tahiti, and Nepal as Vice President. He later worked with the State Bank of NSW and BNP Paribas in Australia, Singapore, and Bangkok, where he was a Senior Banker overseeing Southeast Asia.

With a strong international footprint covering Asia, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Australia, Jean-Michel has focused on the Chinese market for the past 17 years, advising on China market entry strategies, joint ventures, and M&A. His firm, Floc’h International Group, specialises in facilitating corporate finance, mergers, acquisitions, and strategic partnerships, working alongside syndicate partners, private equity funds, high-net-worth investors, royal families, hedge funds, and sovereign wealth funds.

Leveraging deep relationships with the global private equity ecosystem, Jean-Michel provides a trusted platform for investors seeking market entry and fundraising partnerships. George Elferink – Director of Construction & Project Management

George Elferink is an experienced property developer, project manager, and builder with a comprehensive background in site feasibility and acquisition, development and engineering approvals, construction, sales and marketing, and hotel management. He holds a Land and Engineering Survey Drafting Diploma, a Builder’s License, and a Real Estate License, with expertise in survey, architectural, and civil engineering design.

Throughout his career, George has successfully completed numerous projects, including:

  • 11 townhouses on Abercrombie Street
  • 13 townhouses and units on Melrose Street
  • A 21-unit, three-story timber frame over a basement on Atchison Street
  • A 15-unit building with an elevator over a basement on Loftus Street
  • 42 serviced apartments across eight stories over 1.5 basements for Quest Apartments
  • 16 executive units spanning six stories over a double basement on Corrimal Street
  • 54 serviced apartments over eight stories with a double basement for Mantra

His current project involves property development at 4-6 Wharf Street, Cleveland. Additionally, George has served as a Nominee Supervisor for various townhouse projects with Triflex Projects.

George is recognised for his ability to be a key member of achievement-oriented teams that deliver results and embrace the constant challenges of building projects.
